A CLOSE DIVISION.

Sir Joseph Ward last evening, on the third reading of the Land Bill, moved an amendment hostile to the Hauraki leases clause.
The result was that the amendment was lost by 36 to 33. The division list is as follows For the amendment (33) —Atmore, Brown, Buddo, Buxton, Colvin, Craigie, Davey, Dickie, Glover, Hanan, Hindmarsh, Isitt, Laureusou, McCallum, Macdonald, McKenzie, Myers, Ngata, Parata, Payne, Poland.
