THE ROYAL WEDDING.
ENGLISH PRINCE AND SCOTTISH PRINCESS.

The marriage of the English Prince and the Scottish Princess appealed to the popular sentiment. Crowds lined the routes, and cheered the Royal procession to the Chapel Royal. The walls of the chapel we re decorated with lilies, chrysanthemums and smilax. The congregation in the Chapel was an epitome of distinguished Englishmen and Scotchmen. There was a brilliant display of Orders and uniforms. In addition to the Royalttes, there were present Cabinet Ministers, Ambassadors from European Courts and from Japan and America. Bonfires were blazing on the hilltops in the north-east of Scotland, and there were great rejoicings among the Scottish tenantry. WILL THE PRINCE GO TO CANADA ? Ottawa, Oct. 15. There is a renewal of the rumour that Prince Arthur of Connaught is likely to be the next Governor of Canada, in succession to bis father. THE WEDDING CAKE.
London, Oct. 16
The wedding cake at the marriage of Prince Arthur was six feet high. The figures ot the bride and bridegroom appear on the top, surmounted by a cupola dome. On the four sides are portrait panels, surrounded with garlands of heather, while lower down are hand painted silk panels bearing the monograms of the bride and bridegroom, and their coats of arms. The exterior decoration scheme is of leaves and silting cupids. __________
