ENTERTAINMENTS.
MUNICIPAL PICTURES. Saturday night again _ saw another large and appreciative audience to witness the above pictures, and from the volume of applause there was no doubt as to their satisfaction. Another good programme is offered for tomorrow night, the star film, “Till Death Us Do Part,” is a powerfully pathetic drama with a new plot and is a story of human heart interest appealing to all. It tells how a man who has risen in life is asked to divorce his wife, who was of lowly origin, and how he refuses and how the wife is ultimately acknowledged as being the one to whom he owes all his brilliant ideas. The other drama, “The Pawned Bracelet,” is the story of asensational theft and is an exceptionally well developed plot worked to a strong and fitting climax. There are two sceuics, “Mount Egmont,” and “A Pilgrimage to the Crimea,” the first will be of more than passing interest to those who have not yet bad the pleasure ot witnessing this picturesque mountain, which draws annually a large number of tourists to the Dominion, as it is world famous now ; the second film is one that will be most interesting, recalling that page of history when Britain lost so many of her defenders on that historic ground, made iamous by the heroism of the Charge of the Eight Brigade at Balaclava. The comics, “It Made Him Mad,” a most excellent and one to make you laugh ; “Seven Years Bad Euck,” is one to warn anyone against breaking a looking glass; and “The Rivals,” a laughable film, all of which are full of merriment and bound to be appreciated. “Hadji, the Upsidedown Man,” is a very interesting vaudeville film, and is a marvellous music hall turn by one of the world’s most wonderful acrobats, and is shown on the screen with the greatest possible effect. To see a man eating his dinner while standing on his head and taking a drink in a quite indescribable fashion and lighting a cigarette from a candle stuck on bis heel are only some of the many curious effects to see Hadji perform. As usual Pathe’s interesting Gazette of all the latest items will be screened.
