LOCAL SHIPPING.
The Queen, of the South left the wharf on Tuesday, morning and went on the beach in order to tighten her propeller. When she got off by the night tide, it was too windy to cross the bar, and she returned to the whart where, on account of the continued wind, she remained until this morning, sailing for Wellington at 10 o’clock. The Awahou also was unable to leave the port until this morning, sailing at 10.15 for Wanganui. The Kennedy and Pntiki arrived off the bar early yesterday morning, but were unable to make the .port at the time. The Kennedy got over at 11 o’clock, but the Pptiki took shelter under Kapiti, and did not arrive until this morning. The Kennedy sailed this morning lor Wellington. The Waverley is due to-day with limber from Havelock, and the Queen of the South with general cargo from Wellington on Saturday.
