PROPOSED FREEZING COMPANY.

A meeting of the proposed freezing company sub-committee was held in Palmerston on Saturday to draw up a report in connection with the establishment of works in this district. Mr John Morrison, of Tokorangi, was amongst those present. A report was received from Mr A. S. Mitchell, of the different sites put before him. A report was also made regarding an amalgamation with the National Mortgage and Agency Co- with a view td taking over the Eongburn works. It was resolved that a general meeting of those interested in the project should be held in the A. and P. rooms, on Thursday next, at 7.30 p.m., and that such general meeting be asked to appoint a subcommittee to confer with the general manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Co., who will come up from Dunedin for the purpose. ’
