SATURDAY’S FIXTURES.
SENIORS. Foxton v. Kimberley, at Foxton. Levin-Wanderers v. Shannon, at Levin. Kopularoa v. Tainui, at Manakau. Hui Mai a bye.
Marlborough defeated Horowhenua at Levin yesterday by it points to 5. The game was open and close by turns. Horowhenua attacked for two-thirds of the time, but lacked combination to drive home the advantages. Marlborough were never brilliant, but were always safe.
The match Foxton juniors against a team representative of the local Druids’ Lodge, will be played on the racecourse on Saturday, commencing at 3 p.m. The following team will represent the juniors:—W. and J- Neville, J. and M. O’Rielly, A. Stevenson, Anderson, Edlin, Tunnycliffe, Hennessy, W. and R. Coley, Howe, Mounsey, Findlay, Baker, McAllister, East, F. and R. Robinson, Saville, W. Mears.
The local senior team to meet Kimberley on the racecourse on Saturday will be selected on the ground. All players are requested to be on the ground as early as possible.
