THE DUMB MAN SPEAKS.

MUTE FOR TEN YEARS. London, August xo. A curious affair is reported from Leeds. Frederick Dennison, aged 19, who had been dumb for 10 years following on an attack of influenza, suddenly shouted in his excitement while playing cricket. He afterwards stole into the woods, where he convinced himself that his voice was restored, and cried with joy. He did not tell anyone until he had first written to his mother.
