MUNICIPAL PICTURES.
On Saturday night the popularity of the Municipal Pictures was again amply manifested, when over 620 paid for admission, and the applause which was continually given more than proved that the audience were highly satisfied with the programme. For Wednesday night another excellent programme will be submitted. The star drama of 1,868 feet, “The Lost Son,” is a powerful and expressive film. The other two dramas are, “The Thief of Love” and “The Adventures ot the Counterleit Bills.” The former is brimful of interest. The latter is another of the popular Lambert Chase Series wherein the ever entrancing Maurice Costello appears in the role of the detective. An interesting and beautiful view of the Valley of Cerdague, which lies on the border of France and Spain, will be seen in the scenic film. “ A Day at Bourneville ”is an educational study of exceptional attractiveness. The comics are three in number, “Jimmy,” an Essanay Comedy and a real laughter producer all through, “Pat’s Busy Day” Is bound to to produce applause, and “ One on Willie ” maybe Summed up as one prolonged scream of laughter. The whole programme is up to the high standard of those which have been the means of attracting such bumper houses as lately have been partonising the Municipal Pictures.
HAYWARD’S PICTURES. On. Wednesnay night will be repeated at The Royal, the great star 61m particulars of which we published in our last issue. Many people were disappointed at not seeing this marvellous 61m and having been asked if it could be seen again, the manager has decided to screen it in compliance with these requests in addition to the ordinary programme. This will mean that three star 61ms will be shown making with others a total of nearly twelve thousand feet. It is particularly requested that patrons will be prompt as on account of the great programme to be shown they must start very promptly and then it will mean a late hour before it is over. In addition to “ The Four Dare Devils,” a great star 61m, ‘‘The Gamblers ” will be shown, and another, “The Renunciation.” For full particulars see programme iu our advertising columns.
