PRESENTATION TO MR W. GRAY.

A presentation was made by the stewards of the local Racing Club to the late secretary, Mr W. Gray, last night, The President, Mr J. Whyte, in handing the recipient a gold sovereign case, referred to Mr Gray’s enthusiasm for the Club’s welfare both as a member and secretary. The Club regretted the loss it would sustain through bis resignation. Other englogistic speeches were made by Dr. Mandl and Mr Witch ell, after which Mr Gray feelingly responded. Mr Gray was also made a life member of the Club.

Mr Gray leaves Foxton to-day for Palmerston en route for Blenheim, where he enters into possession of the Grosvenor Hotel. He will carry away with him the best wishes of a large circle of friends.
