TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.

The Towu Clerk reported at last night's Council meeting as follows : —During the past mouth the roadmen have been employed attending to the footpaths and water channels iu Main, Tbynne, Park, Coley, Whyte, Robinson and Liddell streets, and Avenue Road, spreading metal in Russell and Main streets and Moutoa road, cleaning round the trees in Park Road, Clyde and Liddell Streets and patching in Union and Main Streets. The kerbing from the Manchester Boardinghouse towards the Bowling Green corner in now being proceeded with and when finished the footpath will be put'in proper order. The holes in the footpath in front ot the Moutoa Buildings want filling in so as to make the path better for walking on. Other works as noticed will be put in hand when the men are finished the present works that have been allotted.—The report was adopted.
