THE SCHOOL LIBRARY.
£lO WANTED,
£ 5 iss SUBSCRIBED
lu our last isiue we published the names of those who had generously answered the appeal for funds for the establishment of a library at the local State School, totalling £4 7s. Since then we have received a donation of one guinea from the Mayor, who was absent when the first appeal was made, and Mrs John Robinson sends us 10s, bringing the total up to £5 18s. We should like to receive the balance of £4 2s by Saturday next so that we might apply for the £ for £ subsidy. In the selection of books the little ones will not be overlooked and many a pleasant and profitable hour will be afforded the scholars when the library is established. By subscribing to the fund you will be contributing to something which will be of lasting value to the children.
