PARLIAMENT.
The address-in-reply debate was continued in the House on Thursday by the Hon. W. Fraser, who spoke mainly in defence of his administration of the Public Works Department. Mr G. W. Russell made a sledge-hammer attack on the Government and was ably answered by the Hon. Jas. Allen. The other speakers were Messrs D. Buddo and G. M. Thomson. Sir Walter Buchanan was warmly welcomed on his return to the House after his visit to England. The Address-in-Reply Debate was continued in the House yesterday by Messrs R. McCallum, G. Hunter, J. Robertson, E. Newman, G. Witty, Hon. F. M. B, Fisher and T. M. Wilford.
