WEDDING.
WHIBLEY—EVANS.
A quiet wedding was celebrated id the Presbyterian Church yesterday morning by the Rev. T» Gbatsworth, Methodist minister, when Mr F. D., youngest son of Mr and Mrs D. Whibley, old and respected settlers, was united to Jennie, sixth daughter of Mrs D. Evans, of Foxton and late of Otautau, Southland. The bride was attired in,a navy blue tailor-made costume and wore a black beaver bat with white plume, and was attended by her Sister, Miss Margaret Evans, attired in a navy blue tailor-made costume with black fur hat . and violet leather. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr Alfred Evans. Mr W. Cook officiated as best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a handsome silvermounted hand bag and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links. The “Wedding March” was played by the bride’s sister, Miss EstherlEvans. The happy couple left by motor car for Palmerston North en route for Wanganui,
where the honeymoon is to be
spent, after which they will settle Litiftwn in Foxton. We join in wishing Mr ; and Mrs Whibley long life, health and happiness.
