SHOOTING.
On Tuesday the local Gun Club’s competition for the medal presented by Mr D. Green was fired off, resulting in a win for H. Hamer. The match was a twelve bird one, and the scores were as follows:—H. Hamer (nyds) 8, H. Lunn (10) 7, C. Edwards (14) 6, E. Smith (13) 6, G. Edwards (11) 5, W. Howe (10) 5. The first shoot for the cup presented by Messrs Bannatyne and Hunter, was also go-off, E. Warrington, of Shannon, being the top scorer with 13 kills off the 16 yards mark, with 14 birds. The other scores were: H. Hamer (12) 10, E. Smith (12) 10, H. Lunn (ro) 10, C. Edwards (13) 7, G. Edwards (10) 7, C. Petersen (14; 7, Dux (16) 6, Shearman ( r 5) 5, Butterworth (14) 5, Bowe (10) 5, York (15) 3. Two sweepstakes were also fired, one being won by E- Smith and the other by H. Lunn,
