SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. SENIORS. Kimberley v. Levin-Wanderers, at Levin. Shannon v. Koputaroa, at Koputaroa, Hui Mai v. Tainui, at Otaki. Foxton a bye. JUNIORS. Foxton v. Koputaroa, at Shannon. A match has been arranged to be played on the racecourse on Saturday between the local seniors and a team of “ Has Beens.” The match is creating a good deal of interest and it is ifaat the present day players will have no easy task in defeating the “old ’uns.” J The losing team will entertain the winners at dinner at the Manawatu Hotel in the evening. The match is to start at 3 o’clock. The following will represent the “Has Beens”:— Forwards. —T. Curtis, J., W. and G. Coley, C. McGregor, H. Buckman, Marsh, Beaton, Henri ; half, Matthew: five-eight, Redgrave ; three-quarters, A. Huff, Purn, E„. Ingram; full, W. Keriona; emergencies, J. Taylor and Wood.

Wellington reps defeated Wairarapa by 14 to n on Tuesday, but on the day’s play only for over eagerness, the country team should have won.

Taranaki defeated Wanganui by 26 points to 5.

Last Tuesday (King’s Birthday) a team of boys from the local State school, under the care of the headteacher, journeyed to Palmerston to compete in the seven-a-side tournament for the Pirani Shield. After a good game our boys were beaten by the Lytton St. School, Feilding, the score being nine points (3 tries) to three points (one try). Arthur Thompson scored for Foxton. The boys taking part were: A. Thompson, M. Robinson, A. Walls, C. Lawton, C. Coley, H. Ruscoeand Wm. Kruse. The lads greatly appreciated the outing and witnessed some fine exhibitions of play In the senior games.
