ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, May 21. At tlic Addington livo stool; market there wore largo entries of all classes of sheep and .■ fair supplies in other departments. There was a good attendance. Except for good young local ewes the market was easier. Fat. lambs were very irregular, but averaged close up to last week’s rates. Fat sheep were firm at last week’s rates. lat cattle met with a dragging sale, but there was no change of values. Fat pigs were rather firmer. Store sheep—Rape Jambs made 10s 6d to 13s 6d, stores 8s bd to 10s 3d, ewe lambs 13s 5d to 15s, young ew_es 14s to 2Qs, sound-mouth 10s 3d to 13s. failing moutb 9s 6d to 10s 9d. wethers 13s to 17s lid. Fat lambs: Tegs made £1 to £1 3s Bd, and a few extra to £1 Bs. Ordinary freezers 16s 6d to 19s 6d, and light and unfinished 13s 6d to 16s. Fat sheep: Extra prime wethers £1 12s 6d. and a prime lot to £1 6s 3d. others 17s to 19s 6d. Prime ewes 18s to £1 4s 3d, .medium 15s to 17s 6d, aged and light 11s to 14s 6d, merino ewes 10.-f, merino wethers 16s 9d lo £1 4s 9u. I 1 at cattle: An average number of fa), steers £6 lo £ll. extra to £l4 ss, heifers £5 12s 6d to £9 10s. and cows £4 10s to £8 6s. and extra (o £ll 2s 6d, store cattle. 15 to 18-monlhs soils imulc £2 6* to £3, Sg-yctu* steers £5 17s 6d (passed), 2-year steers £4 10s. 2-year heifers £4 ss, and cows £1 5s to £5. Dairy cows sold at £4 10s to £l2 10s. Fat pigs: Choppers £3 10s to £5, heavy baconers £3 10s to £3 15s, and lighter £2 15s to £3 ss, equal to sid per lb. Heavy porkers made £2 5s to £2 Bs, and lighter £1 ]Bs to £2 3s. equal to 6d per lb. Store pigs; ,Medium stores £1 2s to £1 6s, and smaliey icjrfs }§s to £1 Is.
