FOOTBALL.
SATURDAY’S RESULTS. Skniors. Levin-W., (i 6 ); v. Foxton (3). Tainui (13) v. Shannon (3). Hui Mai (19) v. Kimberley (3), Juniors. Foxton (15) v. Tainui (o). Weraroa (6) v. Tokomaru (5). LEVIN-WANDERERS v. FOXTON. The visitors substantial win against the localteam was entirely due to the excellent play of their backs, who gave by far the best display of back play seen this season. The first spell was fairly even the score at half time being three all, Levin an unconverted try and Foxton a penalty goal, but in the second half the visitors backs got going, giving some very fine displays of passing. They put on three additional tries, two i of which were converted. In the forward division Foxton easily held their own but in back play Levin ran all over the locals. The game was marred ’ by two unfortunate accidents, McDonald, Levin, putting his shoulder out and Shamrock, Foxton, bad the misfortune to break his leg. •
