OBITUARY.
MRS. H. OSBORNE—AGED
25 YEARS,
It is our painful duty to record the death of Mrs H. Osborne, which took place at her parents’ residence last evening, after a painful illness, borne with wonderful fortitude. The deceased was the eldest daughter (Ethel May) of Mr and Mrs M. H. Walker, and was born on the Moutoa Estate 25 years ago, on the nth of the same month in which she passed away. Her cheerful disposition endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. She was actively connected with the local Methodist Church, and officiated as organist for a considerable period. Ten months ago the deceased was united in matrimony, and at the festive gathering in honour of the event, a happy future was predicted for the young couple. An attack of pleurisy undermined her constitution and paved the way for more serious lung complications, and despite skilled medical attention and devoted nursing, she grew weaker, and finally succumbed. To the sorrowing husband and parents we extend, in common with Foxton people, our deepest sympathy. The funeral will leave the residence of Mr M. H. Walker at 2,30 p.m. to-morrow for the Foxton Cemetery.
