JAPANESE FAIR.

In unpropitious weather the Japanese Fair in aid of renovating All Saints’ Church, concluded on Tuesday. The gross takings were 16s and after paying expenses was placed to the credit of the restoration fund. The workers spared neither time nor energy in making the affair a success, Mr A. J. Kellow, as treasurer, was indelatigable in his enthusiasm, and Mr S. B. Collins carried out the scheme of decoration with great taste. The stall holders, who were in costume, were as follows: —

Guild Stall—Mesdames Easton, Barber, Jenks and Woodward. Girls’ Stall—Misses Symons, King, Crane and A. Collins. Japanese Stall—Mrs Frankland. Produce Stall—Mesdames James and John Robinson. Sweets Stall—Mrs A. M. Nye and Miss Stacpoole. Flower Stall—Mesdames C. Robinson and Harvey, Misses N. Robinson, M. and ECollins, H. Newth, Pearson, Dawson and Dulcie Osborne. Xmas Tree and Bran Tub— Misses Maroni and Jensen. Tea Rooms—Mesdames Symons, W. Easton, Seabury, Hillman and Newth, Misses Betty, Woodroofe, King, Easton and de Ridder. Tobacco Stall —Misses Meyer and and E. Robinson. Side Shows — Messrs Kellow, Hollington, Jane, Woods, Crowe, McHattie, White, Munro, Bangs and Retail. Orchestra —Mesdames Freeman and Rough, jr., Miss A. Collins, Messrs Collins, Simmons, Rough, Banghan and Alexander. Book Stall—Messrs Barber and ” Meyer. The doors were taken by Mr A. S. Easton, and great assistance was given by Messrs Harvey, Walsh, and C. H. Collins. The stage was generously built by Mr Meyer and timber lent for the stalls by Messrs Speirs’. Ihe carting was gratuitously undertaken by Messrs C. H. Collins, Nye, C. Easton, and Andresen. Flags were lent by Messrs Jonson and Hennessy.
