la connection with the above it was decided at last night’s Council meeting, on the motion of Cr Whibley, seconded by Cr Green, that a sub committee consisting of the Mayor and Crs Coley, Chrystall and Speirs be appointed to go through the applications for the position of Town Clerk for the purpose of submittiug a report and recommencing say three applicants for the Council to make a final choice, the sub-committee to meet on Monday next at 7.30 p.m. and that a special meeting of the Council be called for Tuesday, the 20th instant at 7.30 p.m.
