In our advertising columns to-to-day applications are invited for the position of Town Clerk and Borough Treasurer. Applications close at 7.30 p.ra. on the 19th instant.
la connection with the above it was decided at last night’s Council meeting, on the motion of Cr Whibley, seconded by Cr Green, that a sub committee consisting of the Mayor and Crs Coley, Chrystall and Speirs be appointed to go through the applications for the position of Town Clerk for the purpose of submittiug a report and recommencing say three applicants for the Council to make a final choice, the sub-committee to meet on Monday next at 7.30 p.m. and that a special meeting of the Council be called for Tuesday, the 20th instant at 7.30 p.m.
