ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW. The Municipal picture enterprise still continues to present star films on every programme, and for Saturday we find two more star films beside some other real good stuff. “ The Mexican Spy ”is a star drama by the Lubiu Company, a thrilling military production in two reels concerning the theft of the plans of the fortifications from the office of the Colonel. “The Panther’s Prey.” This is a veJy fine dramatic production. It is a South African story taken from a mining romance. The main part of the story shows the attempt of some desperadoes to swindle a widow out of her possession by very unscrupulous and cruel methods. The plot is admirably worked out and contains many exciting scenes in/which a live panther plays a great part. An enormous panther springs on to the shoulders of a woman bringing her to the ground. The frantic sttuggles of the woman are a «cene not to be forgotten. Another film which is sure to be a prime favourite is “ The Maori at Home in New Zealand,” a very interesting film showing the natives of our own country. Two other dramas are “ The Old Chess Players” and the Grit of the Telegraph Girl.” A topical budget is also included, and some comics, “The Safety Overcoat ” and “ A Californian Snipe Hunt,” etc., etc.
