SCHOOL EXCURSION.
Parents need not fear that the little ones who left this morning on a visit to the battleship will be neglected so far as creature comforts are concerned. Arrangements have been made to provide them on the journey, going and coming, with refreshments, and upon their arrival at Wellington they will be given refreshments in one of the Harbour Board’s sheds. They will be conveyed to the battleship in the Tutanekae, and it is hoped there will be no bungling so far as the arrangements are concerned at the other end. However, the local committee can be relied upon to “ push the cart ” on behalf of the youngsters. A number of the children attending the local Catholic school under the care of Mr P. J. Hennessy also made the trip, and will be included in the arrangements made for the State school children. It is not anticipated that there will be any muddling as the committee have given special attention to all details.
