MURDER CHARGE.

Whangarei, April 16.

At Whangarei, in the Magistrate’s Court today, Edward Augustine Sheehan, a boy fourteen years old, was charged on remand, before Mr' Fraser, S.M., with the murder of Thomas Fyfe, aged fourteen. The evidence was to the effect that on April 6th accused fired a , pea-rifle at Fyle, and the bul'et went into the boy’s side, .travelling twelve inches into the body. Fyfe had previously thrown a piece of manure at Sheehan.

Fyfe died as the result of tfie bullet-wound on April Blh.
