picture SHOW. The Municipal Pictures are as usual right-up-to-date with good films and right-up-to-date subjects. A very strong collection of dramas are to be presented tomorrow night. “ The Lord and the Peasant,” the story of a tragedy that took place at Glenwood Keep, is the latest contribution of the Edison Company to the motion picture world, the theme of which is intensely dramatic and replete with romantic and pathetic episodes. It is bound to hold one’s attention, and cause deep heart throbs at its close for the tragic fate of the two fond lovers. Another fine film is ‘‘A Struggle of Hearts,” by the Kubin Company concerning John Carnes, an escaped convict, and the Rev. Rodney Ford, who assists him to employment and the beginning of a new and worthy life. “The Street Singer ” is by the Kalem Company. The story opens with a scene of Fifth Avenue, where a small crowd is gathered round Papita, a little street singer who stands holding her father’s hand. The story tells •of the little street singer who rises from street to an Opera star, also” Two Kittle Rangers, ’ ’ by the Solax Company, a new company but presenting some of the best films we have shown, including “The Equine Spy” and others. Included in this programme is a very fine scenic showing “A tremendous storm on the Jutland Coast, ” “An Eclair Journal,” and some very fine funny-films, amongst which \ye find Augustus Carney the funniest actor on earth in Alkali Ike Stung,” and others.
