ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW. Among the films for Saturday tight we find “ The Bowstring,” an effective staging of ancipnt Rome, the cruelty of the age being dramatically shown and contrasted with the love which exists between one of the Emperor’s archers and a girl of the people, the wonderful beauty of whose long locks of dark hair has become famous. “ Broncho Billy for Sheriff,” Mr G. M. Anderson in his great characterization famous throughout the world. The grim savagery pf the Western feudal grudge and the bitter agony of repentance embodied in one of the most powerful productions ot this renowned series. “ The Derelict’s Return,” a most pathetic story or a widow and her sou, by the Lubiu Company, also a thrilling drama by the Kalem Company, “ The Gum Smugglers.” An industrial film dealing with the manufacture of “ Steel,” should prove very interesting. Another most interesting film will be “Scorpions,” shown in their haunts.

The funny films are really funny, “Strong Arm Nellie.” Nellie was athletic, she advocated boxing, fencing, and riding as a tonic, but dad could not see it, also “The Suffragette Sheriff,” “ Orator Knight and the Cowpuncher ” and “ The Talker.” The last mentioned is a screaming comic ot one who couldn’t be made to stop talking, talking, talking.
