SCHOOL EXCURSION.

We were this morning informed by the local statkmmaster that the school excursions from this district to Wellington on the occasion of the visit of H.M.S. New Zealand will be for school children, teachers and school committeemen alone. No doubt such restriction will prevent many of the parents from allowing their children to make the trip, unless ordinary excursion fares are arranged. As soon as the school assembles, the committee will ascertain the wishes of the parents in connection with the outing.
