HORTICULTUAL SHOW.

TO-MORROW

The local Horticultural Society’s Autumn Show will be officially opened at 2 o’clock to-morrow afternoon by his Worship the Mayor. From present indications this Show promises to be a record one, a very large number of entries having been received, and the quality of the exhibits will be at least equal to those at any previous show. During the afternoon and evening there will be various competitions and also a number of vocal and instrumental items will be rendered. The tea room will be in charge of Mrs Woods and the sweets stall will be presided over by Mrs Nye. A number of those exhibiting have signified their intention of giving their exhibits to the Society and at the conclusion of the Show these exhibits will be disposed of by Dutch auction, the proceeds being devoted to swelling the funds of the Society. The Show will be open from 2 o’clock until 5.30 and will be re-opened again at 7 p.m.
