ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW

“Under a Flag of Truce” is a very fine American War drama, founded on an incident in the American Civil War, and is a very stirring story ot the Confederate and Union forces who, so bitterly opposed to each other, join forces under a flag of truce to rescue an old colonel and his daughter who are besieged by bush-backers. “For Valour,” another fine film, is an African Zulu War drama with a rattling good plot and magnificent scenery. “She Never Knew,” is a Vitograph top-liner. “The Reformation of Kid Hogan,” is a story full of human interest, showing the depths to which the “Kid” sinks, and his ultimate reformation by a Salvation lassie, who is none other than his old sweetheart. “Reedham Drill” is the best in fancy drill, we have seen, a splendid film. Also : The ever-welcome “Gaumont Graphic” ; “Transporting Troops to the Balkan War” ; an industrial film, “Making Glass Bottles” ; and beautiful scenic views of Burges. There are a tip-top lot of comic films: “Caline’s Capture”; “A Hospital Hoax,” a man falls in love with a hospital nurse, and feigns illness that he may be taken to the hospital, but he is found out, and the nurse and doctors proceed to make things lively for the “invalid” ; “Betty Fools the Dear Old Dad,” a comedy wherein the course of true love ran turbulent, then triumphant.
