PICTURE SHOW
Glancing through the programme for to-morrow night, we see much that is interesting and instructive. One of the most unusual films ever produced is “Harpooning Whales” ; this dangerous and exciting industry will hold the attention of all- Two scenics will be shown, one a “Bird’s-eye View of Paris,” the city of the gay and the beautiful, the other “Palestine,” a beautiful subject, showing the gates and entrances to the city, and in the town and round about, the views shown including many of the places that played so great a part of the world’s history. The dramas are : “Master and Pupil,” a fine Edison production ; “The Ranchman’s Trust,” a stirring drama ot the far. West, thrilling and unusual, depicting the adventures of a young Easterner in the land of sage bush and cactus; “The Amateur Iceman,” the story of .two business acquaintances, one having a frivolous daughter and the other a wild son. Both of the children go to work, one as a servant and the other as .an ice man ; they meet, and fall in love; and the wrath of the parents is great —one that his son should love a servant, and the other that his daughter would stoop to care for an Ice-man. The comedies—four of them —are particularly good : “At a Cinema,” “Spoony Sam” (who, by the way, developed cold feet ou his wedding day), and others.
