Mrs King, dressmaker, notifies that she has commenced business in premises opposite the Coronation Hall, and is prepared to undertake plain sewing and dressmaking in all branches. Underclothing a speciality. All work entrusted to her will be faithfully carried out. W. F. Durward and Co., Ltd., of Palmerston N., advertise a great record-breaking sale to commence on Thursday next. Alterations are to be made to the premises, and for this reason specially large reductions in prices of goods will be offered.
Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s, Ltd., Sale begins on Thursday. It is to be the greatest sale in the history of Palmerston North. Surprising bargain features will be an event of this sale,, embodying some slashing price reductions never before attempted. Thursday is opening day, and you are invited to be there if possible, but if you can’t be there watch the papers. It is notified elsewhere that the Bon Marche, Palmerston North, will be closed to-day and to-morrow for the purpose of marking down stock for an unusually important sale, commencing on Thursday next, 16th inst. Buyers are asked to look out for insets containing particulars of same, to be circulated next issue.*
