THE FOXTON RACECOURSE.
The public meeting convened by the Trustees of the Mauawatu (Foxton) Racecourse to receive the annual report of the Trustees was held in the Racing Club office yesterday afternoon. The report, as follows, was read and adopted : —“The Trustees beg to report that they regret they are unable to submit audited balance-sheets for the years ending March, iyix and 1912, as the Audit Office has never returned the lyii balance-sheet, and has not as yet audited that for 1912. The cash balance in the Post Office Savings Bank is ,£9 4s 9d, to which next month there will be some interest accruing. Since the last annual meeting the Trustees have had much pleasure in donating a sum of towards the erection of a tea kiosk on the racecourse, aud trust that it will be found useful at the fourthcomiug meeting iu January. The Trustees are pleased to know from the report aud balance-sheet of the Foxton Racing Club that, including the new tea kiosk, the numerous improvements effected are satisfactory !n the Trustees, and sn.'v that • i? keeMug the course aud ■ ■ ies up to date.’’
