PICTURE SHOW. Saturday night’s programme contains the sensational drama, “The Ship of Eions,” a score of full grown lions on the deck of a burning ship. There is no fake about this picture, the lions are released in full view of the audience. Since the “Slave of Carthage,” nothing quite so daring has been offered to the living picture exhibitor as this subject, in which the wild animals come to the rescue of the hero and heroine, menauced by a mutinous crew. Other dramas on the programme are, “The Indian and the Child,” “His Younger Brother,” by the Vitagraph Company, and “The New Physician,” all good subjects of a very interesting nature, Plenty of beauty spots will be found in the scenic film, “Pictorial Corsica,” while the “Gaumonl Graphic” will show us recent events of note in various countries* The comedies contain some highly amusing pictures, namely, “The Suit of Armour,” “Wanted a Baby,” “Alkali Ike Bests Broncho Bill,” and “A Close Call.” The alter is the story of a couple of street fakers, who fail to draw a crowd, so decide to change their act, one of them blacking up and singing coou songs. This might have got the crowd, had not the blackened fellow been mistaken for a coloured man, who was suspected of kidnapping. His neck is saved by the child' being found by the nurse, who had allowed it to stray away.
