PICTURE SHOW.
Another star film is on the programme for to morrow night. This is a film by the Kiuografeu Company entitled, “The Chancellor, Called the Black Panther." It is a story of a state governed by the Chancellor, the Princess Ilka being in her minority. The villainy of “The Chancellor, Called the Black Panther,” who would run the kingdom to suit his own ends, is faithfully and clearly shown. The mounting of the great work is a masterpiece. We see the rescuers blow up a passage and set fire to the castle. We are also shown a splendid State function and a royal coronation, then the obeisance before the throne. The other dramas are “ Spirit Awakened,” and “ A frontier Girl’s Courage.” There are two scenics, one being a most interesting subject of “ The City of Eucknow, India,” and the other “Rambles in Yorkshire.” “Habits and Customs of the Persians” will give us an insight into the life of the Persian. “The Haunted Rocker” is a screamingly funny comedy by the Vitagraph Company. “ One Round O’Brien,” an A.B. comedy. O’Brien and Duffy are up against it and as “ the eats are coming at long intervals, they hit upon an idea that promises well. Interviewing a theatre manager, O’Brien induces him to put up money, betting that he, O'Brien, will knock out all comers in one round, Did the plan succeed ? We’ll see.
