HOME RULE.

Resolutions of the Young Ireland Party were recently transmitted to the Prime Minister from Auckland, requesting him to move in the House this session that a petition should be made by the New Zealand Parliament to the King, praying that a constitution as outlined in the Irish Home Rule Bill should be granted to Ireland. Mr Glover asked the Prime Minister whether he proposed to comply with the request. The Hon. W. F. Massey said he had replied to the communication, and would give the House the effect of his letter. “ I cannot see my way to interfere with the question of Home Rule,” said Mr Massey.
