C.E.M.S.
A most enjoyable evening was spent at All Saints’ Schoolroom on Thursday night, when the C.E.M.S. held a smoke concert. Tbe vicar, who was in the chair, explained tbe idea of such gatherings, namely, to get in touch with the men, and to show them there was £. real brotherhood between them. Songs were given by Messrs Collins, Lougworth. Hollington, Kellow, Prosser, Blakely, and Graham. Mr Hopper kindly brought his gramaphone. A splendid supper tollowed, aud after various speeches, the singing of the National Anthem brought the evening to a close.
