A letter was read at yesterday’s meeting of the Harbour Board, from the Arthur Hopwood I;aidware Co., Ltd., stating tu<u they contemplated building a large bulk store almost immeolately at either Wellington or Foxtou. They preferred Foxtou on account of its proximity to their head office, and with this end in view the directors ia company with Messrs Hennessy and Nash had inspected a site at Foxtou quite suitable to their requirements, and asked the Board to stale its best terms lor 100 ft. of water trout on the site selected, which was near the whart. After some discussion it was decided that the matter be left in the hands of the Chairman and Messrs Gibbs and Nash together with the Board’s solicitor, with power to act.
