SALE OF LYSOL.

At Wellington yesterday two storekeepers were prosecuted for selling lysol, without being registered vendors or poison, and another firm was charged with selling bottles of lysol which bore no distinct labels that the contents were poison. The defendants stated that the were not aware that lysol had last February been included amongst the provisions of the Sale of Poisons Act by an Order-in-Council. The Magistrate said that the fact of the prosecutions having been brought would call the attention of dealers to the fact that the law must be complied with. All the defendants were ordered pay costs, 9s.
