WOOL SALES.
THE LONDON SERIES. WEuaNGTON, September 25. The High Commissioner cables from London on the 23rd iusl.: The wool sales have commenced, with a large attendance of buyers and a general active demand. Supplies will be moderate. Trade is good, and the market shows signs of strength. Merino wools are very firm at former prices, whilst crossbreds are from fed to higher than at last sale. There are 77,600 bales of New Zealand woois at the close of the third series ot colonial wool sales held in London on August 2nd, 1912. The prices were as follows : Superior merino, is to is 2d ; medium, 9 y 2 to inferior, 7/4d to gd ; fine crossbreds, is to is 2tVd ; medium, g*4d to is ; coarse, gd to nd.
