FOXTON LAWN TENNIS CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the above was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening. There was a fair attendance. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit balance of £6 ns. Several new members were elected. The following officers were elected : Patron: F. W. Frankland, Esq.; President, A. J. Gibbs, Esq.; Vice-Presidents, Messrs O. Robinson, J. K. Hornblow, Dr. Mandl, P. Hennessy ; Committee, Mesdames Stewart and Phillips, Misses Wanklyn, Woodford, F. Edwards and Messrs A. Fraser, P. Jackson, Phillips, K. Furrie and R. T. Betty ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr H. F. Gabites.

Opening day, was fixed for Wednesday, September 25th. Two trophies were awarded tor the combined doubles competitions by Dr. Mandl, and similar donation for the ladies’ singles and men’s singles by Mr A. Fraser.
