BOROUGH BY-ELECTION.
Nominations for the extraordinary vacancy on the Borough Council caused by the retirement of Cr Adams close at noon on Saturday next. The election will be held on Friday, 20th iust. In response to a requisition, containing upwards of 300 signatures, Dr. Adams has consented to accede to the request to again offer his services to the burgesses. .Elsewhere in this issue Dr. Adams publishes an announcement in support of his nomination. Mr Samuel Read also offers his services to the burgesses and publishes a notice to that effect elsewhere in this issue.
