The inquiry by the stewards of the Canterbury Jockey Club in connection with the scratching of The Rover in the Grand National Hurdles, which was opened at the conclusion of the race and adjourned after hearing the evidence of C. Price, who was in charge of the horse, was continued on Tuesday. Messrs A. M. Wright (lessee) and Martin Boyle (owner) were in attendance, and their statements in connection with the matter were taken. It was then decided to again adjourn the inquiry. Mr A. M. Wright returned to Poxtou last night.
