JUNE GRADING RETURNS
The lota! number of bales oi hemp graded during the monl.li oi June was 6,092, as compared with 5,265 bales tor the corresponding month oi last year, an increase ot 827 bales. For the twelve months ending 30th June, 1912, the number of bales graded was 91,356. as compared with 97.749 tor the previous twelve months, the decrease being 6,393 bales. During the same period, 1,594 bales of tow were dealt with, as compared with 1,369 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 225 bales. For the twelve months ending 30th June, 1912, the number of bales graded was 25,080, as against 30,2x2 for the previous twelve mouths, the decrease being 5,132 bales. HEMP. The hemp graded was distributed as follows : —Foxtou 2,296, Wellington 1,860, Auckland 1,207, Bluff 375, Picton 236, and Dunedin 118. The number of bales iu each grade at the different ports was as under :
Four bales at F'oxton, 112 at Auckland, and six at Wellington were condemned, and six bales at Auckland were rejected.
At Wellington 204 bales, and at F'oxton 134 bales were passed for shipment. Five bales at Wellington were condemned.
