SUSPENSION BRIDGE FATALITY.
MEN AND HORSES PRECIPITATED INTO RIVER.
Taihapk, July 17
Yesterday afternoou, while a team of six horses were hauling timber logs over Gibbs’ suspension bridge, across the Otaihape stream, at Utiku, one side of the cables gave out, tipping all into the river, a drop of about 200 feet. Up to the present no trace ot men or the horses have been lound. The men were named Ernest Pink and Richard Hopwood, and both were single.
