GRADING RETURNS

The total number of bales of hemp graded at the ports of New Zealand was 6092 during June, J. 912, compared with 5265 tor the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 827 bales. For the twelve months ending June 30th, 1912, the number ol bales graded was 91,356, as compared with 97,749 tor the previous twelve months, the decrease being 6393 bales.

During June 1594 bales of tow were dealt with, compared with 1369 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase ol 225 bales. For the twelve months ending June 30th, 1912, the number of bales graded was 25.050, as against 30,212 for the previous twelve months, the decrease being 5132 bales.
