MAGISTRATES COURT.
QUARTI-,i<i,V RETURNS The Clerk of the Court (Mr F. Woods) has supplied us with the following returns of the business transacted at the local Court during the quarter ended June 30th,, 1912. CIVIL. During the quarter, 36 plaints were issued, 1 distress warrant executed, 20 judgment summonses served and 5 orders made. The number ot summonses and other processes served was 69. Amount sued tor, 5* 7 d . and amount recovered ,£73 5 s Ild - fees paid in stamps totalled £is 4s. CRIMINAL. Eighteen persons were summoned or apprehended, 13 were fined, 4 orders made and 1 convicted and discharged with a caution. The amount of fines and fees paid in stamps was £ 9. OLD AGK PENSIONS. Two applications for old age pensions were granted.
