NAPIER PARK RACES
The first day’s events of the Napier Racing Club’s winter meeting were decided yesterday in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance, but the course was a trifle heavy. The sum of ,£10,670 was put through the totalisator, as agaiust ,£9,379 for the corresponding day of last year. The following are the results :
Moteo Hack Hurdles. —Nedra x, Juliau 2, Waipureka 3. Time, 3mm 31 4-ssec.
Fetaue Hack Steeplechase.— Tyrannic i, Fukeroa 2, Congboat 3. Time, 4mm 25 4-5360. Stewards’ Stakes.—Kilosteri 1, Cadrone 2, Moutoa Girl 3. Time, 1 min 48sec.
Napier Steeplechase.—Captain Jingle i, Uou/.el 2, Continuance 3. Time, 6miu 42sec. Cadies’ Bracelet. Blend 1, Moniiau 2, Comedian 3. Time, 2miu 18 4 ssec, AL.urin Hurdle Handicap.— Kllish x, Idealism 2, Waterworks 3. Time, 3iniu 22 3-ssec. Settlers’ Hack Handicap.—Ceylon 1, Diavolo 2, Serenity 3. Time, xmin 20 4-.ssec.
