Mr J. Hillary advertises for sale Indian Runners ducks and drake, Buff Orpington ducks and a number of his well-bred pullets. The twelve months laying record of the six Runner ducks was 1300, and Bull Orpingtons 1144. The most attractive event at the Winter Show at Palmerston North, this week is the competition for the Collinson and Cunninghaine Hunters’ Cup. All riders being attired in full hunting costumes. The most attractive event as far as heads of families are concerned is the great Mid-Winter Sale of drapery, clothing and furnishing at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghaine Ltd., Palmerston North. Phis warehouse is one of the largest between Auckland and Wellington, being well stocked with goods to the value of thirty-five thousand pounds, wham were all purcnased direct from the pick of the world’s best manufacturers. A visit to the sale will be well repaid.-
