MASONIC.
The Installation ceremony and investiture ot officers ot the local Alasouic lodge took place last night. The Prov. G.M.. R. WorBro. Peterkiu was in attendance, and assisted with the ceremony. R. VVor. Bro. J. A, Nash, G.S.W., was the installing master, and Wor. Bro. Gordon Eliott Director of Ceremonies. The officers were invested by Wor. Bro. Rutherford. The following W.M’s. also assisted :—Wor. Bros. Clark, Walker, Pearce, and Uawick. The following officers were invested : —W.M., Wor. Bro. Senior; 1.P.M., Wor. Bro. Bradley ; S.W., Bro. Bullard ; J.W., Bro. J. Ross; chaplain, Wor. Bro. Stewart; secretary, Bro. J. Hodgson; treasurer, Bro. M. H. Walker; S.D., Bro. G. Barber; J.D. r Bro. H. Berry, 1.G., Bro. J. Stevenson; D.C., Wor. Bro. M. Perreau ; organist, Bro. G. H. Stiles; S.S., Bro, E. Ball; J.S., Bro. Sexton. A very enjoyable social, at which the brethren entertained the visitors and lady friends, was held in the hall. The interior ot the building was tastefully decorated with bunting, and a marquee, erected at the front of the building, served as a refectory. All present spent a most enjoyable time. Bros. Bradly and Barber, assisted by Wor. Bro. J. A. Nash, carried out the duties of M’s.C. Mr F. C. Berthold presided at the piano, and the catering was in the hands of Wor. Bro. Perreau. During the evening songs were contributed by Bros. A. Bennett, Lyall, Mundy, and a pianoforte selection by Miss Green. The Prov. G.M. entertained those present with an address reminiscent of his travels in the East. A most enjoyable function was brought to a close with the singing ot “Auld Dang Syne.”
