CAMP CONCERT.

A very successful concert was held in camp last night under the auspices of the Church of England Men’s Society and All Saints’ choir, under the leadership of Mr Betty. There was a good attendance of officers and men, who much appreciated the various items. The following ladies and gentlemen assisted : Miss Barber, Misses Collins, Rev H. G. Rosher, 1 Messrs Blakely, Eongworth, Collins, Horublow, Simmons and Betty. The chaplain (Rev A. S. InnesJoues) presided, and the officer commanding (Col. Pringle) spoke of the excellent work that was being done by the social institutes provided by the C.E.M.S. (Mr Stanton, of Palmerston North, in charge), and the Presbyterian Church (Rev J. Mackenzie, of Shannon, in charge). SergeantMajor Payne moved a cordial vote ot thanks to the members of All Saints’ Church choir and their friends who had provided such an enjoyable evening. He called for three cheers, which were given in true military style, and the entertainment concluded wi( ti the singing of the National Anthem.
