FOOTBALL.

A meeting ot the Management Committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union was held at Levin on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs Procter (chairman), Mann, Kaurauci, Bevan and Rout (secretary), In the cases of J. Martin (Hui Mai) and J. Saxon (Levin) who were ordered off the field on the occasion of the recent Hui Mai-Leviu-Wauderers match, the two players in question were in attendance and gave their versions of the affair. After hearing same it was decided that both players be disqualified lor twelve mouths.

It is probable that during their tour South Auckland representative Rugby team will play Horowhenua at Levin. Hawke’s Bay fiave written asking the Horowhenua Rugby Union whether they intend sending a team to meet their reps, this season but the management of the local Union has decided to write to Hawke’s Bay and inform them that in the opinion of the Union they owe Horowhenua a match.

■ At a meeting ot members of the local football club held last night it was decided to disband. This decision was come to on account of the lack ot interest taken by member's, the club finding it impossible to get a full fifteen to take the field. It is probable thai several prominent players will throw in their lot with Shannon.
